Probably the best cl site we have stayed on. Nothing else to say. If you find fault with this I don't know what would make you happy...
Had an amazing few days at Ruby's Retreat. Gorgeous home with a few surprises in the fridge including a lovely bottle of fizz. Cozy rooms including 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a well sized kitchen and lounge. It was such a relaxing break helped by the beautiful countryside scenery and I will definitely be recommending to all my friends.
We had an absolutely tranquil beautiful 2 night stay in our campervan. So peaceful and the view’s totally stunning. Friendly reception and shown to our huge pitch. Lovely hot shower, very clean and tidy facilities. We met Robert what a lovely man he told us how to walk to the tittsworth Reservoir of which we walked the whole way round a beautiful walk. We stopped off at the Lazy trout for cider 🍺 refreshments and such a lovely friendly bar lady didn’t eat there but looked real good 👍🏼
Thank you again highly recommended to anyone wanting peace and quiet on a beautiful farm.
A beautiful well kept site. Very peaceful. We would definitely recommend.
We recently spent 5 nights in the "Pamper Van" and loved every minute of the place. The accommodation was very clean, and very comfortable with all mod cons and little extras like Prosecco, orange juice and milk in the fridge on arrival, 5 different types of tea, bread, cakes and luxury shampoo and conditioner. Sitting in the hot tub with a view of the countryside and only the sound of birdsong and sheep was just what the doctor ordered!! Amy, a local beauty therapist can be booked to come to the Van and her prices are very reasonable and her massages and pedicures are great! I had something each day as part of a well needed break. Have already booked again for later on in the year. Diane the owner is very helpful and is easily contacted if you need any help with anything. Lots of pubs and things to do in the area too.
Just home from a 3 night stay in our caravan. Fairboroughs Farm is a pretty campsite - large, well spaced pitches (some levelling is needed but nothing too onerous); clean toilet and shower; picnic table/bench on each pitch; recycling facilities. We arrived in rain but woke up to sunshine and a glorious view over the fields; it was lovely to watch the sheep and the lambs gambolling. We had a dinner and breakfast outside, and stayed up stargazing one night - what's not to love about that! The owners met us on arrival and talked us through our pitch etc, and gave us a handout which included a history of the farm and lots of local information. There are lots of places to visit and things to do - Rudyard Lake is a definite recommend. Can't wait for our next stay at Fairboroughs Farm.
We enjoyed a lovely 3 night break for New year at Fairboroughs Farm. The pitch has spectacular views over the field of the beautiful countryside. This site is in a stunning location with some fantastic walks both direct from site and a short drive away. The owners recommended Tittesworth and Rudyard. Both definitely worth a trip and only about 10 mins drive away.
The site has a toilet and shower which were spotlessly clean. The chemical disposal area is also well kept.
The pitch is fully serviced, which is always a bonus. Good level hardstanding pitche with beautiful views.
The site itself is on a working farm and is lovely and peaceful. It is down its own private lane with gates access making you feel really secure. Access is via a key fob which you receive on arrival.
We loved a little morning wander around the site each day. There is a cute little duck pond and you can see the sheep and horses up in the fields.
The owners are so friendly and welcoming. I didn't catch any names except gorgeous Milo the dog. We had such an amazing time and would highly recommend a stay at this tranquil site.
First visit. Good size pitches. Very clean toilet and shower. Beautiful views from caravan. Some great pubs for dinning, Reform Inn at Thorncliff, White Heart cafe Leek, Royal Oak Rushton spencer.
Great walks around Rudyard and Tittesworth lakes and safe walks aroun rural lanes from site.
Very peaceful at night.
All in all enjoyed our 6 days on this CL and will visit again and recommend.
Can’t recommend this place enough. So peaceful and tranquil, the finishing personal touches are second to none. The website says 1 bedroom but there are actually 2 bedrooms, one king size and 2 twins with 2 bathrooms including shower. We got a taxi into Leek a couple of times which was great, some really olde worlde pubs ?? It’s like home from home there, tea, coffee’s, fresh milk, eggs, scones, clotted cream, jams, toiletries etc plus Prosecco which was a lovely touch xx
What an amazing place to stay. Wanted a relaxing break couldn't ask for anything better. The hot tub was amazing and the view has too.Diane your host is extremely friendly and helpful. Will defo be going back soon.
